ROB ZOMBIE Gets On His Broomstick

June 30, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: ROB ZOMBIE begins his "American Witch Across America" tour tonight (Friday, June 30) in El Paso, Texas, with this trek featuring a more elaborate stage production than the club jaunt Zombie went on earlier this year. Zombie told Launch about one new addition to the show that he's looking forward to. "The biggest thing that people will see, which I'm very excited about, is I had this artist, David Hartman, do a full-length animated video for 'American Witch', which no one's ever seen before, so that'll be, you know, on screen while we're playing that song during the show for one thing, so that's kind of like the premiere of that video," he said.

"American Witch" is the latest single from Zombie's recently released third solo album, "Educated Horses".

The tour will also introduce Zombie's new bassist, Matt Montgomery. He replaces longtime bass player Rob "Blasko" Nicholson, who left last month to play in Ozzy Osbourne's band.

ANTHRAX is opening for Zombie on this entire tour. After this run is completed, Zombie will head back out on a co-headlining trek with GODSMACK that begins on August 25 in Dallas, Texas.

Zombie recently announced that he will direct a new version of the classic 1978 horror film, "Halloween", with an October 2007 release planned.
